MFR techniques are mostly soft, gentle and consistently effective in producing positive and lasting results and patients. To aim to bring pain relief and increase mobility by freeing up myofascial restrictions.

As the layers of the injury or restriction are peeled back, then the body begins its self-healing process.

Fascia is a strong 3D web of connective tissue. It is a continuous structure that runs from head to toe. The fascia is a framework that helps to support and protect all structures in the body.

FASCIAL RESTRICTIONS

A Myofascial restriction can be held in the system through postural anomalies, surgery, impact – through sport, falls, accidents. These can cause the fascia to harden and bind down. This restriction may cause an imbalance within the body’s system and manifest as pain, decreased mobility and flexibility throughout the body. Myofascial holding patterns may have a physical and emotional component, which can be released within regular treatments.
